Bringing Clean Water to Africa:
Launching the Uveyiks Clean Water Initiative

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Uveyiks Clean Water Initiative! Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet 2.2 billion people around the world still lack it. Every day, women across the globe spend a staggering 200 million hours finding and collecting water. The lack of accessible, clean water creates significant challenges, affecting health, education, and sanitation, particularly in Africa.

The burden of water collection often falls on women and children, who must walk long distances carrying heavy jugs of water. This not only takes a toll on their physical health but also limits their opportunities for education and work. Young girls, who could be in school, are instead spending their days collecting water, perpetuating the cycle of poverty. For every year a girl stays in school, her income as an adult is expected to increase by 20%. By providing clean water, we empower both women and girls, giving them a chance to lead healthier, more prosperous lives.

Our goal is to raise $3,950 to build a water well that will serve hundreds of families. Clean water means better health, improved education opportunities, and a chance for families to thrive. This project is especially close to our hearts because we know how transformative access to clean water can be.

We are kicking off our fundraising campaign with excitement, determination, and a commitment to make a real impact. We invite you to join us—whether by contributing, volunteering, or spreading the word—every small action counts. Together, we can make a difference.

Let’s work hand in hand to make clean water accessible to all. Join us on this journey and help us bring hope to those who need it most.
